By downloading, installing, or using GlideFile ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Software.
2. Description of Service
GlideFile is a file transfer application that allows users to connect to remote servers using FTP, SFTP, and FTPS protocols. The service includes:
- Desktop application for macOS, Windows, and Linux
- Cloud synchronization of server configurations
- Secure storage of connection credentials
3. User Accounts
To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
4. License Plans
Free Plan
The free plan includes limited features and may display non-intrusive advertisements. Free users can store up to 2 server configurations.
Paid Plans (Personal & Pro)
Paid licenses are perpetual and include all future updates for the purchased version. Licenses are per-user and may be used on multiple devices owned by the licensee.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Software for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer or decompile the Software
- Redistribute or resell the Software
- Use the Software to access servers without authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
- Upload malicious files or content
6. Intellectual Property
GlideFile and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by GlideFile and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT:
- The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Defects will be corrected
- The service is free of viruses or harmful components
8. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL GLIDEFILE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING:
- Loss of data or corruption
- Loss of profits or business opportunities
- Unauthorized access to your servers
- Service interruptions
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software in the past 12 months.
9. User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- The security of your server credentials
- Compliance with laws applicable to your file transfers
- Backing up your data
- Ensuring you have authorization to access connected servers
10. Refund Policy
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for paid licenses. If you are not satisfied, contact us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Suspected fraudulent or illegal activity
- At our sole discretion for any reason
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes. Your continued use of the Software constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Switzerland, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
